Concepcion Garcia-Ramilo, chairperson of CMA, was active in women and migration issues while based in Australia in the mid-80s up to the mid-90s. Upon return to the Philippines, she worked as project director for the resource center and information program of ISIS, a woman’s international resource center. She presently serves as global project coordinator and regional coordinator for the Asia Women’s Networking Support Programme of the Association for Progressive Communications (APC), specializing in gender and information communications technology. She is also board member of the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women (CATW) and the Association for Women’s Rights in Development (AWID).
Concepcion is known for her excellent organizational and management skills developed over 20 years leading and managing multi-country and multi- disciplinary action-research teams and online networks. She is a leading authority on gender evaluation and the use of ICT for gender equality
