UN Committee of Migrant Workers Second Periodic Report on the Philippines (2014)

The Philippines has ratified the Migrant Workers Convention on July 5, 1995. As part of the reporting requirements of the Convention, the State Party is obliged to submit a periodic report every 5 years to monitor the compliance of the State party with the Convention. The UN identifies a List of Issues Prior to Reporting (LOIPR) partly based on the submissions from the civil society to be included into the LOIPR. After the LOIPR is issued, the State Party must respond by submitting a State Report. Stakeholders from the Civil Society are likewise, invited to submit their reports.
