Policy Brief: Localization of the Sustainable Development Goals vis-à-vis Migration & Development

CMA was joined by leaders from OFW Family Circles (OFCs) from NCR, Regions 1, 3, 4a, 5, 6, and 7 during the consultation held in November 2024 in relation to the localization of the Sustainable Development Goals vis-a-vis Migration and Development.

One of the objectives of the consultation is to discuss what the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are and why they are important in relation to the well-being and human rights of OFWs who originated from each of the different regions in the Philippines. There was also the universal call to action to all parties to do their part, and make sure that the SDGs are for the protection of Filipino migrants — from the moment they set foot in a new country all the way to the day they return and reintegrate back into their country of origin.
